Hello friends! We’re excited to begin 2025 by telling you about all the developments in Hotpot.

Hotpot is a new approach to on-call and operations that allows you to do more, go faster, and sleep better. It replaces your existing on-call tools, like PagerDuty. Effortlessly setup, manage, and be on-call without grinding people down. We're looking for pioneers and early adopters to help shape the future of on-call with us!

What we shipped in 2024

Hotpot’s smart scheduler makes on-call fair, healthy, and automatic. Teams can easily take or get coverage when plans change. To top it off, we suggest replacements so the best person can take the shift. Did we mention we now support full multi-stage schedules with primaries, secondaries, and more? More on that soon!

Most recently, we’ve debuted more advanced capabilities to keep noise down and responsiveness high: business hours and low-urgency notifications, alongside snooze and escalation workflows.

Finally, we’re SOC2 Type 1 compliant and have extensively battle-tested our PagerDuty sync. Syncing to PagerDuty allows a no-risk way to continue using PagerDuty while incrementally migrating to Hotpot. We expect to be SOC2 Type 2 compliant in February!

What's coming in 2025

We’re looking to our customers for guidance on how Hotpot can improve your operations and on-call. Here are a few things we’re working on now.

• Tracking fatigue and disruption with prompts for breaks and suggested replacements when people are in danger of burning out.
• Novel analysis of on-call stints to help isolate problematic alerts and other sources.
• Improved integrations with links to outside tools. Expect Linear integration soon!
• Proactive scheduling of contentious weeks or critical periods.
• A complete overhaul of our documentation.
• And much, much more!
